The Cognitive Reception is part of Capio's geriatric operations located at Handen Hospital. The operations also include inpatient care, enhanced discharge, and geriatric reception. We are situated in newly renovated premises at Handen Hospital.

At the reception, extended assessments of individuals aged 65 and older are conducted. The reception consists of a team of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, psychologists, and occupational therapists. We work evidence-based according to national guidelines for dementia care and in accordance with regional care programs. We are a specialist unit that maintains high quality in our assessments and has satisfied patients and staff. The reception is characterized by good teamwork with high competence. We also conduct training for relatives where we lecture on dementia and communication. We collaborate with municipalities and primary care to create the best possible care chain for our patients.

As a specialist physician at Handen's Cognitive Reception, you will perform extended memory assessments, including lumbar punctures, decide on examinations and tests, make diagnoses, and follow up on medication treatments. In this role, you will also supervise resident doctors and actively participate in the development of our reception. The assessments are conducted in a team setting, and the tasks require good collaboration skills.

You have a Swedish medical license with specialist competence in geriatrics or neurology, preferably with experience in memory assessment. You have an interest and commitment to cognitive diseases. We are looking for someone who puts the patient first and maintains high quality in patient care through professionalism. You thrive in teamwork, have good collaboration skills, and a positive attitude.
